Silvanus 1019 – an intrigate copper bracelet, delicate

Simple to manufacture –
hand-forged in Munich for a delicate arm.2 round copper bars, 3mm diameter, are required for this bangle. The first rod is left round, the second rod is rolled flat with our Durston roller, then both rods are twisted together. This twisted strand is sawn to the correct length (according to your dimensions) and the end pieces are TIG welded – a fusion welding process in which the end pieces are fused together in an arc. We use helium as the inert gas here, which enables us to produce an extremely precise weld seam – only the copper is melted here, so no other metal is added. Copper and nothing but copper is used in this piece of jewelry.
Then we clean the bracelet in sulphuric acid, remove the remaining soft oxide layer with running water and a brass brush. Flat forging, polishing, deburring the end pieces. Forged into an oval shape on our tail stock, polished… and finished,
The bangle has a rustic look, definitely handmade. Clear traces of forging. It is very delicate, can be worn with care, water-resistant. Fits every occasion, wearable limited because of the daintiness to sporting events, golf, tennis … Not suitable for hard work. Goes well with a “little black cocktail dress” as well as with jeans, sweatshirt… looks good on a feminine, delicate arm. The textured surface means that scratches are not noticeable.
